Representing a tiny nation with a huge sound, Azadoota infuses Assyrian party music with Latin, African and Eastern European flavours. 'Azadoota' is Assyrian for 'Freedom', and with band members from Iraq, Latin America, Asia and Europe, their new album celebrates freedom from cultural and ethnic prejudice. Front man Robin Zirwanda was inspired by his love of Latin and African music, and influenced by his band's cross-cultural heritage.
