- During the late 1980's many of Ireland's young people were leaving their homeland to look for employment opportunities elsewhere. The song is dedicated to Paddy and Peggy Gilmore of Galway, Ireland.
- 4. Tanker Braer's visit to the Shetlands (Julie McGonigal)
- Written in a minor key, it takes the form of a lament. It concerns an event which occurred in the Shetland Islands in recent times.
- 5. Annie's left for London (Mark Davidson)
- This song was written on the occasion of my cousin Anne's first overseas trip. It made its debut at the family Christmas of that year.
- 6. Bonnie Lass of Fife (Traditional)
- Ewan McColl referred to this song as a 'Broadside Ballad'. It is set in Scotland and alas is a story of unrequited love.
- 7. The Day before the Sky fell down (Mark Davidson/Julie McGonigal)
- For the indigenous people of the continent now called Australia, the year 1788 was the beginning of a great tragedy. Since writing this poem I have discovered that the word 'Koori' is not universally accepted as a descriptive term applying to all Australian Aboriginal peoples. I therefore ask to be allowed some poetic license in its use. The music played throughout the track was written by Julie.

- A song in remembrance of all Australians who have suffered the hardships and horrors of war.
- 10. Green Mountains Serenade (Mark Davidson)
- The country of the MacPherson ranges of southeast Queensland, Australia is indeed a land where "creation's song still sings".
- 11. Molly Milligan (Traditional)
- This is a fun-filled, toe-tapping tune from the Appalachian mountains of the USA.
- 12. Waverley Station (Mark Davidson)
- Takes its name from Edinburgh's central railway station. A travel song about coming and going.
- 13. Road to Mallaig (Julie McGonigal)
- This typically Scottish set of air, Strathspey and Reel reflects the atmosphere of the west coast of Scotland. Throughout the piece there is a recurring Celtic-style melody, which changes to the different rhythms of Strathspey and Reel.
- 14. Stillwater Boys (Mark Davidson)
- Is essentially a love song, but not of the sentimental variety.
- 15. I will Love You Forever (Mark Davidson)
- This is a celebration song about the God of Love in Whom I believe. It is dedicated to the many people who through their own lives, have shown me glimpses of God.
